Female Reproductive System - Hormonal regulation (GnRH) الجهاز التناسلي للأنثى - التنظيم الهرموني
• There is a complex interaction between the anterior pituitary gland, the hypothalamus, the ovaries and the uterus that leads to the monthly changes that women experience during their monthly reproductive cycle. • Two monthly cycles constitute these changes: • Ovarian cycle. • Uterine (menstrual) cycle. • Hormonal messengers, beginning with those secreted by the hypothalamus, orchestrate these monthly cycles. Hormonal regulation - GnRH • Gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) is released from the hypothalamus. • At the beginning of the monthly cycle, the GnRH level slowly rises. • Gonadotropin-releasing hormone GnRH: • Binds to receptors in the anterior pituitary. • Stimulates the release of gonadotrophins: 1. follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). 2. luteinizing hormone (LEI).
